Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

This document sets out the Terms and Conditions that apply when making a booking using the Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) Online Booking System (“OBS”) to pre-purchase airport parking in the ORD Parking Facilities (“Airport Parking Facilities”). By making a Booking, you acknowledge and accept these Online Booking System Terms and Conditions, referred to hereafter as “OBS Terms & Conditions.”

2. Online Booking System

ORD provides an OBS by which you may pre-purchase airport parking products (a “Booking”).  ORD does not guarantee that the OBS, or that airport parking will be available at all times, nor does it guarantee a specific parking location in the Airport Garage. You will still be required to find an open parking stall on entry.

When you have submitted a request using the OBS on the ORD website at #, you will receive an email confirmation of your Booking and a receipt of payment. Your Booking is not complete until the Booking Confirmation email is received.

ORD reserves the right to limit the number of Bookings per person per day and/or the number airport parking stalls available for booking per day via the OBS.

3. Online Booking Purchase Price and Payment

The purchase price quoted by the OBS is applicable only when you complete your Booking and includes a reservation fee. Until a Booking is completed, quoted prices for airport parking product may vary based on time of booking and product availability. Any amendment to a Booking may result in different availability or quoted price for airport parking based on time of booking and product availability. When you provide your credit/debit card details to complete your online Booking, you are authorizing the ORD to charge your credit/debit card in the amount of the quoted purchase price.

Airport Parking

The purchase price quoted by the OBS for airport parking is based on the period starting from your booked entry time in the Airport Garage. A 2 hour grace period is given before your booked entry and after your booked exit.  If you overstay you will be required to make a payment for the overstay at exit.

Discounts

ORD may offer discounted or promotional rates for use in the OBS. All such discounts and promotions are subject to availability. ORD reserves the right to modify promotion code usage restrictions, or to vary, amend or cancel promotional rates at any time. Discounted and promotional rates are only applicable for Bookings made during the times the promotional rates are valid, and will not be applied retroactively to Bookings that have already been made.

ORD will choose which discounts and promotions it makes available in the OBS; this may include some that are exclusive to the OBS.

4. Online Booking Amendments, Cancellations and Refunds

Your ability to make a booking amendment, cancellation and/or receive a refund may vary depending on the type of Booking or product purchased in the OBS.  You may make an amendment and/or cancellation to your Booking by clicking Manage Booking within the OBS and selecting the relevant option/s. Amendments and cancellations must be made at least 2 hours prior to the booked period.

When amending a Booking, if the purchase price associated with the new booking period differs from the original Booking, your original Booking will be cancelled, and the purchase price refunded to your card. You will receive a Booking Cancellation email for the original Booking. A new Booking will be created for the amendment, and your card charged for the purchase price of the new Booking. You will receive a Booking Confirmation email with the new Booking details.

Bookings may be cancelled up to 2 hours prior to the beginning of the period booked. You will receive a Booking Cancellation email for the canceled Booking and a full refund for the amount paid.

In the unlikely event that ORD cannot locate a stall for your vehicle in the chosen facility, ORD will issue a full refund of your Booking charges.

5. Online Bookings and Airport Garage

In the unlikely event that the parking facility is unavailable or at maximum capacity and ORD cannot provide a stall for your vehicle, ORD will issue a full refund of your Booking charges.

6. No Resale of Online Booking / Commercial Use

A Booking is not permitted to be sold, rented, transferred, conveyed, or made available in any other way to third parties, whether on its own or bundled with other products or services without ORD’s expressed written consent. If you do so, this will result in the non-refundable cancellation of the Booking. A Booking is not to be used for commercial purposes at any time.

7. Privacy

To process a Booking, ORD will collect and store personal information including your name, address, phone number, email and vehicle license plate.  Your use of the ORD OBS indicates your consent for ORD to collect and store such information.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify ORD and hold it harmless, from and against any and all losses, cost, expenses, damages, or liability relating to, arising from or as a result of your use of the OBS.

9. Your Account

When making a Booking, you may be asked to set up an account. You are responsible for taking all reasonable and prudent action to maintain the confidentiality of your account and its associated password and for limiting access to your computer that accesses your account. You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. ORD reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in its sole discretion.

10. Limitation of Liability

In addition to any limitations or exclusions within ORD’s Terms & Conditions of entry to the parking facilities and otherwise to the extent permitted by law, ORD’s total liability to you will be limited to a refund of the purchase price of the Booking. ORD accepts NO RESPONSIBILITY for loss or damage to vehicles, accessories, or the contents of a vehicle, caused by fire, theft, collision, water or any other cause whatsoever.

11. Limitation of Liability of Parking Operator

By entering into the Booking and parking in the ORD facilities, you are entering into a contract based on these Terms and Conditions, which limits the liability of SP Plus Corporation in addition to ORD. The Booking licenses you to park one vehicle in a designated area at your sole risk. Any car parked at this facility is parked at the car owner’s sole risk. No care, custody or control of your vehicle or its contents is assumed by ORD nor SP Plus Corporation, and neither ORD nor SP Plus Corporation are responsible for any fire, theft, damage or loss. The car owner alone is responsible for parking and locking their car. Only a license to park is granted hereby and no bailment is created. These Terms and Conditions are your entire Booking contract and no employee may modify or waive any of its terms. By your acceptance of the Booking you agree to all of these Terms and Conditions for the benefit of ORD, and SP Plus Corporation. Parking only in marked stalls.

12. Safety and Security

You must:

(a)    Comply with all laws and all other requirements relating to safety and security;

(b)    Comply with all parking signs, no parking zones and directions issued to you by ORD;

(c)    Drive carefully and responsibly in all airport facilities;

(d)    Not cause any obstructions, including parking across or occupying more than one parking stall;

(e)    Not park in a designated handicap parking stall without displaying a current handicap license plate or permit;

(f)     Not park in a designated electric vehicle (EV) parking stall if your vehicle is not an EV;

(g)    Obey all directional and safety signs; and

(h)    Park only in designated public parking stalls and not park in any area which is not designated as public parking.

ORD may issue citations for violations of Ordinances or other applicable laws, rules, regulations for any parked vehicles within the Airport facilities.

ORD, our agents or its representatives may enter, move or tow away your vehicle for operational, safety or security reasons. 

13. Changes to Terms & Conditions

ORD reserves the right to change these OBS Terms & Conditions at any time.  Please ensure that you check the OBS Terms & Conditions posted on the website at the time of booking and/or prior to entering the Airport facilities.
